Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross for our sins. He was buried. Then, on the third day, He rose as a life-giving Spirit. Anyone that chooses to have faith in Him, and receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit, all of their sins are forgiven.

"Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
Matthew 6:31-33
Why would we need to seek God or His Kingdom?
Romans 3:3-28 This tells us that there is NONE RIGHTEOUS, we have all turned from seeking, fearing and pleasing God. In Ezekiel 36:24-28, God prophesied that He will sprinkle clean water on us, washing us from the inside out, take out our stoney heart and put His heart inside of us and put His spirit inside of us and causing us to walk in His commandments. Jesus says that we must be born again. He says "that which is flesh is flesh and that which is Spirit is Spirit", John 3:1-8. In Romans 7, Paul states that the sin is in the flesh. With our flesh we serve the law of sin, but with our mind we serve the law of God. The flesh fights against our spirit. Paul says that people of the flesh mind the things of the flesh and them of the Spirit mind the things of the Spirit. He also says that the carnal (fleshly) mind is death, and those that are in the flesh cannot please God, but the Spiritual mind is life and peace, Romans 8:1-9. Jesus says He will not leave us comfortless, if we keep His commandments, He will manifest Himself to us. John 14:15-21.
"...Jesus went preaching the gospel of the kingdom..." Matthew 4:23.
What is the Gospel?
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Jesus died; buried; resurrected
What is the Kingdom?
Romans 14:17 The kingdom of God is the Holy Spirit.
What is the Holy Spirit?
John 15:26-27; 2 Timothy 1:6, 7 The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, the Spirit of truth, power, love and a sound mind.
John 16:13, 14 The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and testify of Jesus.
Galatians 5:19-23 Works of the flesh and fruits of the Spirit.
Luke 17:20-23; Colossians 1:27 The Kingdom of God, the Holy Spirit, Christ, is within you.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 God has washed us with His Spirit.
Matthew 3:11-17
How do I receive the Holy Spirit?
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6 Acts 19:2-6 You may receive the Holy Spirit by laying hands.
Luke 11:10-13 Everyone who asks for the Holy Spirit, from their heart, will receive it.
Acts 2:1-4 "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." The church first started in the book of acts on the day of pentecost.
What happens after I receive the Holy Spirit?
Matthew 4:1-10 After being filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus fasted for forty days (fasting is a way for you to defeat your flesh). Then, the Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tested with the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life.
1 John 2:15-17 He overcame everything that was a result of the tree in the garden. Now Jesus has overcome His flesh and everything the world has to offer. John 16:32, 33 He has overcome the world.
Matthew 4:17 After being tested, the first thing Jesus says is “repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Repent in the ancient Hebrew is a “turning of the head.” We must turn our heads from following the world to following Jesus.
Romans 8:12-15 Those that are led of the Spirit are the sons of God.
John 7:37-39 Out of our bellies will flow living waters.
What is our mission?
Matthew 22:36-40 1. Love the Lord God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 2. Love your neighbor as yourself. If you love the Lord with all of your heart you will seek Him diligently.
Mark 16:15-20 “And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”
1 Corinthians 13:1-8 Love never fails.
What is speaking in tongues?
Jude 1:20; Romans 8:26, 27 Speaking with new tongues is praying in the Holy Spirit, which builds up our most holy faith, and prays the perfect will of God in our lives.
What shall separate us from the love of God?
Isaiah 55:3; Acts 13:34 We are under the sure mercies of David.
Deuteronomy 31:6; Hebrews 13:5 "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee".
Romans 8:35-39 Nothing shall separate us from the love of God but, the only thing that is not mentioned here is us. We are the only ones able to separate ourselves from the love of God that is in Christ, Jesus.
What does it mean to sin?
Sin comes from the ancient Hebrew word, HhTh. This is a picture of a tent wall and a picture of a basket. Together these mean "to miss the mark".
How do we miss the mark (sin) with God?
"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame." Hebrews 6:4-6
